Our Structural and Civil Engineering team operates within the public and private sectors, offering detailed design services from project inception through to handover and beyond.

Whichever sector we are employed, we take a commercial approach to the engineering design with the ultimate aim of providing cost effective, fully coordinated, sustainable and efficient schemes that can be built to programme and on budget. We strive to be creative and innovative in our work and collaborate within the team to encourage a similar approach throughout.

Clarity of scope and briefing is one of the most important aspects of achieving successful projects. We encourage stakeholder consultation, and involvement early during Masterplanning, to ensure our clients’ aspirations, desires and drivers are fully understood so we can assist in maximising assets. We will always endeavour to deliver to those expectations as a minimum.

Our expertise ranges from structural surveys of residential and commercial properties to the production of designs, details and specifications for major new build and refurbishment projects. All design and detailing is undertaken in accordance with current UK and European Design Standards and Codes of Practice. We invest in keeping our staff fully trained and informed of developments in the industry, including Modern Methods of Construction. Other services we provide include due diligence, feasibility studies, structural inspections and reporting, value engineering, site supervision, and management of projects.

Each project will be individually assessed for the benefits of SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems), both within the structure and to the external areas, as this can often result in lower installation and maintenance costs, and assist in achieving higher levels of sustainability. 3D modelling software is used in the design of external SUDS, along with site levelling and pavement designs.

Structural Engineering designs are progressed inhouse, principally utilising 3D modelling software, where refinement and optimisation of the framing can be maximised. From these models, our expert technicians can extract and integrate the structural information into Revit for use within the BIM environment, ensuring coordination within the complete design, in accordance with modern processes and standards of information management.

We ensure that all operatives using these tools are fully trained and have continued professional development. All designs are produced to our strict quality control procedures.
