Frankham were appointed as designers on this major expansion of cycle parking at Fleet Railway Station by South Western Railway.

Frankham’s rail focussed building surveying team, structural and electrical engineers designed a purpose built enclosed cycle hub using land recovered from an embankment to the car park immediately adjacent to platform 1.

202 new cycle storage spaces were provide in a cctv monitored access controlled, secure and weather protected building, along with a maintenance and repair area for cyclists use. A safe access route from the main road, across the car park was defined as well as ramped/step free access to the facility.

On the booking hall side of the station an additional 72 secure spaces were added to the existing cycle storage area adjacent the car park. Lighting and CCTV monitoring were improved and secure access control provided. A new cycle access path was also provided from the station forecourt to improve access to the facility
